Welcome

Interaction design is about people, and people have been interacting since the dawn of time. Nothing new there. However, our tools of interaction have evolved.

I like what Dan Saffer has to say in Designing for Interaction. His writings led me to Marshall McLuhan; "We become what we behold. We shape our tools, and thereafter our tools shape us."

In our bit driven world the newer tools that shape our lives are the result of product and interaction designers who have roles in creating their design.

So tell me: do today's tools and widgets of mass communication influence culture more than the message?
